Romanian Graffiti

Here in Cluj-Napoca there is a lot of graffiti, well at least compared to Ohio. A lot of it is political in nature. It’s almost as if the anarchists and the fascists are competing for who can tag the most. A lot of times they spray over each other’s tag. I decided every week I’m going to post at least five photos of them. The other day, I spent a few hours just soaking in the city and documenting the graffiti. Enjoy!

The newness of the blog

It’s been dead on here for the past few months. Sorry for not posting more regularly. Currently, I am in Cluj, Romania, beginning a graduate internship position with the Peace Action Training and Research Institute of Romania (PATRIR). We will see how this goes and what new opportunities come out of it. Also, I have a paper in the peer-review process and it’s been deemed worthy of publication but I’ve been too lazy to make some revisions. Hopefully it will be out by the end of the year. As for graduate school, I was going to go to University of Nottingham, but ,due to several circumstances and a change of heart, I decided to study at George Mason University instead in their Conflict Resolution/Peace Corp program. Hopefully I can switch over to their PhD program. Regardless, I’m finding the courses very useful.

In the mean time, check out this network chart I’m creating on the current situation in Iraq. Click on it to read more:
